“The ESH is a very inclusive student hall. Everyone feels welcome here, whether individuals or couples. The double rooms are nicely furnished and very functional. And they are the perfect size for a young couple. One major plus is the communal kitchen, which has a generous amount of workspace and is a great place to socialise. Regular cleaning by the staff makes everyone’s lives more pleasant and increases the general feeling of well-being on each floor.”

"The best thing for me at ESH is the spacious communal kitchen on each floor, perfect for cozy gatherings and cooking together. The rooms are spacious, bright and quiet, the existing decor can be added as desired. Especially the private bathroom is great! The home is ideal for students.
The Lake Plesching, a fitness center and shopping facilities are in easy walking distance. The public transport connection is very good.

“Moving into the ESH was one of the best decisions I made during my studies. It was always easy to meet new people in the communal kitchen, whether at games nights or while cooking together. Other activities are also encouraged by the friendly and polite staff. The rooms themselves are quiet, spacious and nicely furnished. Despite its central location (ten minutes from the university and five minutes from shops, the tram stop, Pleschinger See, etc.), you can always find a parking space.”

The operating body of the ESH

The operating body of the ESH

In 1991, after demand for student accommodation had been growing steadily, the then Superintendent of the Protestant Church A.B. Upper Austria, Mag. Hansjörg Eichmeyer, had the idea of building a hall of residence. A year later, he established the Verein Evangelisches Studentenheim Linz association together with Prof. Dr. Rudolf Kropf. The ESH opened its doors in 1995.
